Our Story
Since 2000

A Legacy of Learning & Character

Umma Academy was founded in 2000 by a group of educators and community leaders who shared a vision: to provide children in Bahir Dar with an education that balances academic excellence with strong ethical values. What started as a small kindergarten with just 20 students has grown into a thriving school serving over 450 children from KG to Grade 6.

Throughout our journey, we've remained true to our founding principles—nurturing curious minds, building character, and partnering with families. Today, Umma Academy is recognized as one of Bahir Dar's trusted primary schools, known for our dedicated teachers, modern facilities, and commitment to holistic development.
